At the Orchestra banquet, the kids gave Mason the paper plate award of "truly genuine" and the teacher gave Mason the "Outstanding Character" award. I have always told the kids that kindness and character are more important to me than anything else, grades included, so I was proud beyond belief to see how much Mason embodies these two attributes. Of course, I was not learning anything I did not already know about this wonderful girl! She also got her Orchestra cord to wear with her cap and gown.
