Dennis Alexander Piano Competition!
Yesterday, Dylan played in his second Dennis Alexander piano competition. I am so proud of this guy and all the hard work and time he put into this. It is not easy competing on the piano and some of these kids that he competes against seem to be professionals already. He played both pieces (Dennis Alexander's Gypsy Fire and Chopin's Mazurka Op 67, no 2) beautifully, but lost the last couple of notes of Chopin. Funny, because he had never once struggled with the ending. He was disappointed that he had put so much time into this piece and it did not go smoothly, but he is feeling much better now.

VIP Vance Joy Acoustic Performance!
After driving to Denver to see a Vance Joy concert a few weeks ago, we were lucky enough to win tickets to a VIP acoustic performance right here in our home town! Mason and Hannah scored these front row seats with their fast feet and we got to do a quick "meet and greet" after!

Competition Practice: Chopin's Mazurka, op 67, no 2!
We still have a week until show time, but I thought I'd share our progress, as it is consuming a lot of our time! I'm so proud of this boy's dedication. This was a hard one to learn and he is way past where I can help him anymore. There is more fine tuning to go this week, but for what it is worth, here he is...

SWAT Team App Speed Sharing Event!
- The SWAT team hosted an event to educate teachers about using certain apps in the classroom. There were ten apps and each group had three minutes at each table to learn about the apps from the app experts. Dylan and his buddy were in charge of teaching about pic collage.
