Lunch Date in the Park!

Hannah is home until late September, but she works at TriCore all day and hangs out with friends in the evenings, so I feel like I actually talk to her more when she is at school. So— we decided to have a Dion’s lunch date in a park we love! 

 

First Day, Junior Year!

I forgot to take a picture in the morning before school, but that means I was able to get one with Ava, too, since she came home with him! Junior year— he has a fairly intense class load so let’s hope he is ready to work hard!

 

Youth Connections Advocate!

This is Mason’s first day of her first real job photo! After graduating with her MSW in June, she finally landed what seems like the most perfect job for her. She is a Youth Connections Advocate for Raise the Future, Colorado! She will be working with a case load of foster kids, connecting with them and helping them make connections with resources and people. The company is so warm and inviting and made Mason’s first day so nice!

 

Alga Norte Skate Park!

We have spent several early mornings checking out the really nice local skate parks. They are huge, perfectly kept up, and feel so safe, not like Albuquerque where you worry about being shot. We went to the Encinitas (Poods) park yesterday where Dylan met up with Davis from home and they got to skate together. He also picked up a board left behind by his favorite pro skater the day before!

 

Surf Lesson in Santa Monica!

Dylan tried a surf board for the first time this morning! He had an awesome instructor and was able to ride his board pretty easily—I think the skateboarding and snowboarding helped with that. Andrew was body surfing near them and a group of dolphins kept them company as well. Now I just need to find a way to drag this boy home from California…
