Birthday Girl!

I can't say enough about my wonderful 14 year old-- she is kind, smart, super tall, sweet, a hard worker, a lover of life, sometimes very teen-age-like, silly, and the list goes on!  Here she is opening her gift--tickets to a Taylor Swift concert!

This was her dinner restaurant choice-- The Melting Pot.  I just could not believe how much you have to pay to cook your own food!  :)  It was los of fun, though!

Christmas Eve!

First, the luminarias, which we never got to use because the wind was strong and two of them caught on fire right away.

Then, dinner and good times with cousins and friends.

Then, hot chocolate, new jammies, stories, and reindeer food.

Now let's wait for Santa!

Our Busy Elf!

We can't fib about our elf- he has done some naughty things this past month, like dumping out my flour to make snow angels and playing a game of bowling while driving one of Dylan's remote control cars.  He even drew a moustache on a picture of Mason.  One time we found him bundled up in the refrigerator with chocolate syrup all over his face hugging the Hershey's bottle.  But---he has also been very sweet to the kids.  He made them elf sized cookies one morning and today for Christmas Eve, he made them each individual North Poles.  He must be getting kind of tired.  Now he will get to rest for a year before he is up to his silly shenanigans again.

Bowling Field Trip!

Hannah had a field trip to the bowling alley on Friday.  Dylan's class was having a sub for the last day of school so he played hooky and came with us!  I must say that that boy can bowl!  He beat all of the fifth grade girls without using bumpers for most of the game!  He even got a strike!
