Seattle!

We spent the weekend in Seattle helping Hannah move into the apartment that she will share with five other girls. It is a great space on the third floor, surrounded by fraternity houses (lots of active college life)! While we were there, we got to see Michelle, Hannah’s roommate from last year, for lunch and we got to spend some time with John (who you may recognize from pictures on the blog a long time ago). It was so great to catch up! We only wished his whole family was there!

Hike to Williams Lake, TSV!

We hiked to William’s Lake today. It was a hard two miles straight up, but so beautiful the whole way. Dylan swam across the lake once he got there. Mason and Jay did a little bit of swimming, too. (Hannah was there even though she is not in the pictures. She had to stop on the way up because of a bad head ache.)

 

September in Taos!

Taos is an explosion of yellow right now! I haven’t seen it like this in years. That’s what a summer of good rain will do!  Granny would always call me at this time of year and say, “The yellow flowers are marching down the fields.” She knew that would get me home in an instant.

I had to stop on my bike ride to take a picture of these delicate little red flowers that have climbed all of the cactus plants along the trail!
