Fun in the Snow!

There is more snow expected tomorrow! What fun! Our front yard has a perfect little hill for little sledders! Mason and Hannah have had a ball! Even Mom and Dad tried the hill. Dylan was interested in the snow but suffering from an allergic reaction again, this time to apples...

Smiles, Bubbles and Yawns

Dylan had his six month check-up today! He is now officially over 20 pounds! What a big guy! We are working with solid foods now but he is having some problems with allergies. The bananas he loved so much caused his whole body to turn red like a bad sunburn and bumpy. No more bananas for our little fellow...

Happy Six Month Birthday, Baby Boy!

We have been slow to post because of the craziness of the season--holiday parties to help plan for both girls' schools, a birthday party for Mason, and Christmas fun! Whew! Today is a big day, though, because Dylan is (as Hannah says) zero and a half. He is such a delightful lump of baby love and can do so many big boy things! He started eating last week and so far has had rice cereal, carrots and his first birthday banana today! We had allergy issues at first but after trial and error, we discovered that it was to the formula that was mixed into the cereal. The verdict is still out on carrots, but he loves bananas! He is going to crawl any day now and is excellent at baby push ups. He is also good at sitting and yesterday, after I lay him on the floor to play, I found him sitting up several minutes later very pleased with himself. So, I guess it is time to start dusting off the old gates because our little guy is about to turn our house upside down!

A New Piano Teacher!

Sunshine, our kitty, is interested in Mason's piano music! He sat with her for a very long time as she practiced, alternately looking at the sheet music and the keys...

Learning to Really MOVE!!!

All this little guy wants to do is crawl! He is constantly up on all fours rocking. He scoots backwards until he is stuck under chairs and beds. I keep trying to tell him that he is a baby and way too little for this stuff but he ignores me...

Thanksgiving in Taos

Thanksgiving in Taos was wonderful! Mason, Hannah, Robert and Julia got to play together uninterrupted for a few days! Dylan was so happy to check out his new surroundings and get some good loving from his devoted Granny! He even enjoyed a tiny swing at the park! The cousins made Granny a lovely Thanksgiving tablecloth for the occasion (behind Dylan in his exersaucer).

These pictures were taken one day after Dylan's five month birthday! He is getting to be such a big boy. He is busy, curious, and so very smiley and friendly!

How Exciting!

Mason won first place in her elementary school's "Reflections" art contest in the literature catagory. The theme was "My Favorite Place" and she wrote about Lake City, Colorado!

Halloween

Halloween was loads of fun! Mason was a peacock fairy, Hannah was a unicorn and Cinderella, Julia was a princess, Robert was a witch and Dylan was a lobster!

A-ha! So this is where babies come from...

Especially for Granny!

Robert and Julia spent the night and we did a remake of a photo we last took when they were very small. This time we added Dylan!

Pumpkin Picking!

We went to get a couple more pumpkins yesterday! Dylan was a baby scientist, investigating every nook and cranny of the pumpkins that he could get his hands on! He was not going to let us leave without the perfect pumpkin!

Fun with Robert and Julia

On Sunday, we wandered through a corn maze, climbed hay stacks, and ended the day with a soak in the hot tub!
