Lego Vampire Castle!

These days, this guy likes nothing better than a good Lego project.  He used his birthday money to buy a Vampire Castle and spent the better part of two days putting it together!

I am having issues posting my cropped pictures, but at least I can post my regular ones!  My full cast photo is cropped so you may see it later if I can figure out the issue...or not...  This is just part of the whole cast photo.  The man next to Mason and the woman on the bottom right are our awesome directors, our fearless leaders!  They have seen Mason through 14 shows and taught her how to run the sound board as well.  They have also seen Hannah through 9 shows!  They allow the kids to be a huge part of developing their characters and it really makes for outstanding shows!  We love them dearly and look forward to much more fun with them!

I loved seeing my daughter in a moustache!  The best was when she changed back into her own clothes (a dress) and came walking out with the moustache still on!

Playing With Kitty!

Playing with the kitty is fun, but a bit of a different story than playing with Winter.  It doesn't take long for the allergies to kick in and the sneezing to begin.

Isn't it beautiful?  Mason has been playing piano for seven years and is an advanced student in her teacher's studio.  Hannah has played for five years and has a natural talent.  It seemed time for them to be able to practice on an instrument that sounds 100 times better than what we had.  In the picture, it looks black, but it is actually a rich, dark mahogany color-- the perfect contrast with our wood floors.  I must admit that I had my sights on a gorgeous vintage Steinway, but, alas, my ship has not come in yet!  

Six!

Thursday was this guy's 6th birthday!  We opened presents, built with legos, picnicked at the pool, had dinner out, and took an evening trip to the toy store.  I am so very enamoured with this little boy of mine.  He is sweet, creative, smart, so easy-going.  He finds joy in everything, laughs out loud, and gives such abundant love.  He is a story writer, a magnificent artist, a bug saver, a song singer, a smile bringer.  He is outgoing and chatty and loves to make new friends.  Happy Year, my wonderful boy!
