Rafting!

We went rafting down the Rio Grande!  Everyone LOVED it!  We chose a Class 3 rapids ride, which was perfect for this bunch.  Even Dylan got to paddle, although there were a few parts of the ride when we asked him to just hold on rather than paddle.  Mason is the only one who almost fell out of the boat when she grabbed Dylan to keep him in.  I used one of those disposable cameras that can get wet, but we also just bought some of the professional pictures that the company took so I will post them when they arrive.  I could not take pictures during the rapids so I'm glad to have the others coming!  One of the best parts of the ride was getting in the water and floating--Dylan was the first one off of the raft! 

Out And About In Taos!

These three ate all of the guacamole in a flash.  Can you see the guilt on their faces?

Now they have to eat red chips with no guacamole!

William's Lake Hike!

We hiked to William's Lake in the Taos Ski Valley.  I have been wanting to take the kids on this hike but I was waiting for Dylan to be a bit older.  Eight years old seemed perfect.  What I remembered was the sign that said there was one mile to William's Lake so I told the kids it was one mile up.  I guess my memory was a little bit off and the hike was longer than expected!  I might never live that one down!  I think everyone agreed that it was worth it once we got to the lake.
