5th Grade DARE Graduation!

Today was Mason's elementary school graduation, a bittersweet day. I am so proud of this incredible girl! (and, no, she was not sitting in front of the "o" on purpose, although she is not thrilled about moving on to middle school).

School Dance!

Today was the elementary school dance. Dylan and I went to Hannah's grade level dance in the morning and then back in the afternoon for Mason's grade lavel. The girls had fun, well, sort of... The guy alternated between being a wall flower, torturing his sisters, and deciding that he had had enough and needed to check out. Unfortunately, I am still suffering from a bad back after throwing it out Saturday night so Mason had to hold him!

Bugsy Malone at The Box!

Have I mentioned the huge pie fight at the end of this show? Dylan might not have understood the bottom line of the show, but he knew that if he waited until the end, he could go wild with silly string and that was all that mattered...

A Few More Bugsy Malone Photos!

Hannah Cake!

Isn't she looking older? Maybe it is that tooth out in the front, but my little girl is growing too fast. That said, I am loving her age so much. She is full of conversation and so incredibly insightful.

Sweet Boy

Take one last look for a while. He just got a haircut and fell asleep on the way home so I have not had a proper look at it. I am pretty sure he was butchered...again...

Doodle!

Mason's latest theater role: Doodle in "Bugsy Malone". She reaches her untimely end when her boss splurges her after she dropped her splurge gun. The picture with her back to the camera is when she is silly stringed by her boss! Lots of fun, great songs, and what a mess! At the end is a huge pie and silly string fight! More pictures soon. It is just so hard for us non-professional photographers to get good shots without a flash and when there is lots of action!

Swim Lessons!

Dylan is actually starting to swim on his own a tiny bit (although he has no fear and thinks he can swim a long way). He has made a lot of progress and might be swimming on his own sometime this summer!

Two Best Friends!

But don't let the smiles fool you! These two squabbled like brothers the entire day. Each one took turns pushing the other's buttons, touched the other in the car or looked at him wrong, had a long classic fight of "yes it is, no it's not, yes it is, no it's not, yes it is, no it's not", and eventually, when they had exhausted their reserves of good bickering topics, they fought about the proper way to hold a chee-toh. Good thing the two mommies had a sense of humor this day! (I really did have fun, Liz!)

Up To No Good!!!

Look at this nice girl doing her homework. Doesn't she look peaceful?

What about the guy you see below??? Is this the face of an innocent guy? No! This guy was playing near the pond while his sister worked on this homework. Out of the blue, he decided she was a perfect victim. He collected a little cylinder of pond water, walked it over to Mason and poured it down the back of her pants. I saw it all coming but had no time to react, which actually made it even funnier. Mason's reaction was classic and Dylan's guilty, yet pleased expression was even more so. I tried really hard to discipline Dylan but how do you do that when your funny bone is so tickled that you are in hysterics??? Even Mason could hardly keep a straight face. Can I say that the rest of the day was about the same? Naughtiness abounded. All I can say is this sweet little love of a guy is "ALL BOY"!

Sleeping Guy

This guy quit napping when he was about 2 1/2 years old and has never looked back until recently. Lately, he sleeps every day. I look at it as a sign of intelligence. It takes a smart kid to realize the power of a good afternoon nap... The other option is that he is growing, which wouldn't surprise me either.
