Yep...she's famous!

Whenever we go to New Orleans, we have to take a ride over to Mason Smith Ave.

Dylan's Two New Friends!

When I was 16 years old, my dad died, leaving the world with one less funny, playful, kind, intelligent, loving, and ultimately amazing man. One of my deepest sorrows as an adult is that he did not have the chance to know my children and they did not have the chance to know him. His brother, my Uncle Mike, reminds me so much of my dad that when I see him every few years, I am always taken aback. This was the first time that Dylan met him as a "big boy" (not a baby) and he took to him as though he had known him his whole life. I am so glad for my kids to have someone to know who is so much like their grandfather. Uncle Mike also brought his grandson, Caleb, who was THE sweetest 7 year old boy and so loving with Dylan. Our little guy was in heaven!

My Home Town!

We just returned from a trip to Louisiana to visit my home town and my large extended family! It took us three days to drive there, and three days back and I have to admit that the kids did GREAT and we will definitely do it again! It has been five years since I have been and it was such a wonderful feeling to be in the place I lived for the first 16 years of my life! We even got to experience one of those amazing southern thunderstorms IN OUR CAMPER!!! (Poor Andy had to pack the camper and fold it down in the pouring rain...) I took an unprecedented number of pictures and a lot of sorting is required, but today I will post a picture that warms my heart, my own three children in front of the house that was ours from the time I was born until we moved when I was 16. The yard is very different, but the house, a beautiful southern house on the National Register of Historic Places, is still very much the same.

Visiting Ancient Ruins on Our Way Back from White Sands!

(I've even included a photo of what could only have been the time-out room for naughty kiddos...)

Chuck E. Cheese's!

While the girls were caged like the wild beasts that they are, Dylan drove some important friends around and made phone calls.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

As is tradition around here, the girls and Dylan left potatos outside the window for the leprechauns and then slept downstairs in hopes of catching a glimpse of the tricky little fellows. No such luck, but in the morning, they found that the potatos were gone and there was a trail of chocolate leading into the back yard...

Playdate at Hoots!

We had fun at Hoots with the other Dylan and Zoe! The big accomplishment was that Dylan learned how to go up and down the huge slide by himself! He did it over and over! It used to be that I would have to carry him up the steps and often, he would not even want to slide. This time, it was hard to pull him away!
