The first two pictures are from our drive out to California. Andy was trying so hard to find and catch a chuck walla for Dylan. They were not successful. My guess is that those poor critters were hiding out from the hot desert sun!
The next few are in Tucson on our way home.
While taking a little hike, we ran into this guy! Fortunately, Andy was ahead of us and looking on the ground for critters, or we might have stepped right on him. Really, the rattle snake was so beautiful. The picture does not do his vibrant colors justice. The sound of his rattle was amazing! After a while, he finally slid into the hole behind him, where he continued to rattle at us.
