National Piano Guild Auditions!

I am so super proud of this little boy!  A month and a half ago, after finishing his last piano competition, he made the choice to audition to be in the National Piano Guild for the second year in a row.  The National Guild requires the participants to play ten songs by memory in front of one judge.  I thought ten would be risky-- at that point, he only had his two competition songs committed to memory.  But, he took that month and used his time well and learned eight more!  Today, he presented them to the judge and made it into The National Piano Guild again!  There are so many things I admire about this sweet boy--his dedication, perseverance, ability to work through his nerves, and his ability to set his mind to something hard and follow through.

Practicing was sometimes frustrating...

I was not allowed in the audition room so I snuck this shot through the window...

We owe it all to his amazing piano teacher, who works tirelessly for her students to be successful!

Celebrating at Menchie's after!  Ice cream has never been so sweet!
