College Acceptance Letter!

Acceptance letter from Denver University, along with notification of being a Chancellor Scholar.  That helps a lot with tuition and housing!  Right now, DU is her top choice but we are still waiting to hear back from some other colleges.  Way to go, Mason!  Your years of hard work are paying off!

Eighteen!

We have another (somewhat reluctant) adult in the house now.  We celebrated her birthday today with breakfast at Garcia's, a trip to Explora where we ran around amongst the little kid crowd, and dinner out at Azuma.  I am so proud to be the Mama of this amazing girl!  She has the kindest heart I know and has empathy and compassion for everyone she meets.  No wonder her heart is steering her towards social work and helping people.  She is also smart, beautiful inside and out, and wins the hearts of everyone she comes in contact with.

We had lots of undecorated cookies left over so we had a family cookie decorating afternoon yesterday!

Cookie Decorating Party!

 I love the day every year that we have friends over and everybody decorates cookies!  We make gingerbread families and then lots of different shaped sugar cookies.  The Dylans exchanged gifts before the party and you will notice that the snake (Salazar) got to participate.
