San Luis Obispo

We went to San Luis Obispo just to look at the town and check out Cal Poly, a school Dylan was admitted to last year but didn’t really consider because we had never seen it and he really liked Barrett/ASU. He isn’t sure he loves ASU so we are just looking at options for the future if he decides he really doesn’t want to stay.

I feel like there’s not a lot to celebrate about this country right now, but still, beach time and fireworks are nice. The noise from the fireworks was a loud rumbling that started mid-day and went late into the night.

Taos Ski Valley Day!

The Taos ski valley was busy today for Community Day! Mike and Roxanne are visiting from Louisiana and we went up to soak in the beauty of the mountains in the summertime. Dylan and Robert made it to the top of Wheeler Peak, the highest peak in New Mexico. The only pictures they took were of their signature in the summit book and the beautiful scenery. Edited to add a couple more pictures of Dylan and Robert’s hike that he just shared with me. They said the lack of oxygen at the high altitude was difficult and they had to take little breaks.
