A New Skill!

It has taken a long time for Dylan to develop the strength to pull himself out of the pool on the side! On Tuesday, he finally got it and did it over and over!

Preschooler!

What a bittersweet milestone it is when your youngest starts school! Dylan is now attending afternoon preschool three days a week and today was his first day. I had been so worried about today after taking him to open house last week. He had become overwhelmed halfway through the day and cried through the second half, even though I was there. Today, I was the parent helper so I was able to watch him and he really did well! I asked him what his favorite part was and he said "all of it". So-- the true test will be when I drop him off on his own on Friday. Anyway, I am so very proud of him and so crazy about this little big guy I have!

Last night, we had great fun hanging out with our buddy, Zoe! There was reading, doctoring, piano playing, and much more! Fun was had by all!

Thunderstorm!

Yep, a good rainstorm around here makes for kids gone wild! The water rushes down our street and they race out to play in it. Don't let Hannah's dryness throw you off-- this is her second outfit. The first was soaked. Mason was also soaking and did not come back out for pictures.

Third Grader!

This one starts 3rd grade on Wednesday!

My Middle Schooler

This one is officially a middle school student with the schedule, the books, the locker, the P.E. uniform, and even the portable classrooms. It was hard but I didn't cry this registration day! (Kindergarten registration was another story...) I am so very proud of this girl!

Cliff's!

We got an unexpected opportunity to go to Cliff's Amusement Park for free with our piano teacher and her students!

Bike Riding!

We went bike riding up at Hannah's school (no, it is no longer Mason's school...sniff, sniff...) but could not stay long because it was very hot! Notice their little red faces. Dylan is quite the zippy rider as long as it is not a downhill slope. For those, he patiently gets off of his bike and walks it until the ground looks flat again. Eventually, he tried a few downhill parts just so he could slam on his brakes and check out his cool skid marks. Hannah is finally learning to ride a bike without training wheels. Really, it is our fault that it has gone this long because we do not get out there enough to teach her. (Not to mention that she is "terrified"!) A friend suggested that we take the pedals off of her bike and he seems to be right. (Thanks Troy and Trisha!) She was really beginning to get her balance when we had to leave to prevent anyone from passing out...
