Rachel Platten Concert!

Rachel Platten came to Albuquerque!  Mason and Rachel had general admission tickets and went hours early so they could be right up front.  Hannah and I had seats and joined them later.  It was an 18 and up concert, so we weren't even sure that we would all get in.  I guess my little girls look older...  Here is Mason watching the sound check.

Mason was thrilled (enough to scream...) when Rachel Platten held her hand.

Logging 1000 Minutes!

The Hobbit and Harry Potter make getting the 1000 minutes for school pretty easy!  There's nothing like a good book!

Palo Duro Canyon!

This place is always beautiful.  The last time we were here was in the summer and the bugs were enormous and plentiful.  This spring, the bugs weren't there, but there were plenty of wild turkeys.  The kids tried to get close and figured that they needed to act like wild turkeys themselves to accomplish this.  Not hard for them...:)

Another Little Louisiana Adventure!

This Louisiana boardwalk was flooded out so Dylan took off his shoes and went to investigate.

 

He came back pretty quickly when he saw a water moccasin curled up on the planks.  That made Andy so excited that he did not bother taking his shoes off and ran across the water to check it out.  I missed that photo op, but I did get one of him on the return back through the water (below).  It was quite a sight!

 

We saw five of these babies that day.  No catching critters for Dylan this trip!  These guys are highly venomous!
