First Violin Recital!

Between the piano , the viola, and the violin, our house is filled with a lot of music lately! 

Another Soccer Game!

Our team has yet to win a game, but Dylan scored his first goal this week!  His heart has not been in the game for the last two games as much as it was at first, so I am glad he scored a goal.  Maybe it will get him excited about soccer again.  Of course, it does not help that the past two games were on really hot days.  The kids seem to have inherited their mother's heat intolerance...

He suffered a few injuries in this game.  This is after a good kick to the ribs.

Growing Up...

This is one of my babies that you are looking at.  Yesterday, she changed her hair style for the first time ever.  It is a subtle and beautiful change, but I think that both of our hearts jumped for a second as we watched that first long piece hit the floor.  She looks so much more grown up now.  How I love this gorgeous  person! 

Oh, and don't forget to notice the orange and black rubber bands on her braces for Halloween!  See--she is still a kid on the inside!

Dylan Appleseed!

Yesterday was Johnny Appleseed day in first grade.  Too bad he made me wipe off the freckles I had managed to sneak onto his cheeks...

Saturday Soccer!

For a beginner, this little guy sure seems to know what to do.  He is almost always focused on going after the ball and blocks the other team's kicks with whatever it takes--feet, knees, shins.  He does get pretty worn out by the last quarter, though.  But then again, most of them do.
