Swimming with the Big Boy Cousins!

Medieval Times Castle!

Rather than another trip to Disneyland, we decided to visit a Medieval Castle and were so glad that we did! We got to watch two hours of sword fighting, jousting, and horse shows while being served a delicious meal that we had to eat with our hands! The kids were thrilled-- the excitement on Mason's face when we first walked in was priceless! Dylan was fascinated with the sword fighting! Sparks were flying off of those swords!

The knight below was the knight that our section was supposed to cheer for! Alas, he did not do well in battle, but he did hand a rose to Mason from the arena after kissing it...

At the Beach!

We had been to the beach the day before (yes, I forgot my camera) and did not expect to end up there again. That is why two certain kids are in their skivvies...

Joshua Tree National Park!

We stopped but we didn't stay. Again, it was over 100 degrees, no hook-ups, no water. To me, we can just call that Death Valley... Andy really wanted to camp there so maybe we will go in cooler weather sometime...

Camping on the Colorado River!

We just returned from a trip to visit Andy's family in California. On the way, we stopped along the Colorado river to spend a night. It was amazingly hot--well over 100 degrees, and I thought for a brief moment that I would not survive... Then we got the camper set up and the air conditioner running (although it was a tough job for our little camper). Best of all, we went down to the cold river and swam all afternoon. I don't have pictures from that swim because, well, we were in the water, but here are a few just playing by the river before we left the next morning.

The short walk back from the river was enough to make you want to pass out from heat exhaustion but Dylan found a way to keep cool back at our camp site!

Here is Captain Dylan in his "jail", holding his sword and his "jug of rum", and "resting" in another "jail"... Hmm... I'm starting to feel not too sure about the pirate life!

4th of July!

Daddy's Birthday!

It is this guy's birthday (the big guy, that is) and other than a brief swim and dinner out, he has been tiling our shower all day! Thanks for being such a wonderful and fantastic husband and daddy! We love you!
