Twenty-Two!

One of the best things about having a baby on December 27th is that even after they leave home for college, you can still count on being able to spend their birthday with them. Mason is 22 today, thriving after a very successful first quarter of grad school, interning and working on her MSW. She cares deeply about making the world a better place and helping others. Happy 22, my sweet girl! ❤️

 

Christmas!

We had a lovely little Christmas at home. Mason and I cooked a big breakfast, and unfortunately set off the smoke alarm, hence the visit from the fire department. Miles’ family came for a masked, socially distanced dinner. The picture of Dylan shows his two new skate decks, the Santa Cruz VX (his current favorite) and the hard to find Powell Peralta flight deck. The picture of Hannah shows her trying out Andy’s new foot massager (which is being returned because it hurts his feet).

 

Christmas Eve!

I know that not seeing anyone would have been the safest thing to do, but we decided to try to do a family Christmas Eve with restrictions. We all tested negative a few days earlier and quarantined. We ate separately, wore our masks, and socially distanced (other than for a quick picture). We weren’t perfect, but it felt great to have a hint of normal for a little while. I have missed my family!
