Mason and Jay (her roommate)!

Mason is living in a suite this year with three of her close friends. I did not get a lot of pictures so these will have to suffice. This is her roommate, Jay. They share a room on one side of the Jack and Jill bathroom and the two Ashleys share the other room. It is super cute and their four other friends live one floor up in a larger apartment where they can all hang out.

Mason headed back to DU on September 5th to start her sophomore year. It is never easy to say goodbye to her, especially after having her home all summer, but it feels much better than last year because I know how happy she is there and that makes all the difference in the world!

The Taylor Swift Fan Meet-Up!

I'm missing some more pictures with more friends, but you get the point. All of these people have the common shared love for all things Taylor Swift and have gotten to know each other over the years. One of them organized a fan meet-up at a park before the concert and they all got to finally meet in person. Mason is one of the few in the group who has yet to meet Taylor Swift herself. She is going to two more concerts in Arlington (near Dallas) in October. Maybe she will have her chance then.

Mason and I took a trip to Nashville together at the end of the summer to see Taylor Swift! We had a great time! It is crazy how many friends she has out there. She met up with so many "Swifties" that she has been communicating with online for years.
