Home Day

This little friend stayed home from school today.  He has had  a head ache since yesterday which I think is allergy-induced.  These seasonal allergies are taking us out around here!  Sometimes I forget how much I used to enjoy having littles around the house on a quiet day.  We snuggled up and read, learned about some continents for a test, and cooked.  There is nothing like making a good soup on a sick day.  Unfortunately, my soup pictures do not look too good so instead, I will post our cookie pictures.  We doubled the recipe so there was a lot of math involved.  I'll just consider it a home-schooling day. :)

Your Weekend Soccer Installment!

Once again, our team got crushed.  I don't even know the final score, only that our team had zero.  The good news is that our boy played hard and had some really good moves.  He got the ball out of enemy territory several times and brought it way across the field to the good side.  One time, he brought it all the way over and fell with his last kick and the ball made it literally one inch in front of the goal and stopped.  Sigh...  Whatever the outcome, though, I always love to watch my boy play!

Mason took these at the Homecoming football game.  It rained for most of the game but they stayed until the bitter end!

The Boys...

While the girls posed in their lovely Homecoming dresses, the boys were having a wild sword fight.  Dylan had been out playing with the neighborhood kids for a while when the girls started arriving.  When two girls showed up with two of his favorite brothers, he was in crazy boy heaven!  We tried to tell the girls that they could take these gentlemen as their dates for the night but nobody seemed interested in that prospect.  Wonder why.
