At first, these guys had taken long, flexible branches from the willow tree, tied a piece of fish food onto the end and "fished" in the pond! After a while, though, it was funner to just hold food out to them. And what a good fishing hole it was! The afternoon was lots of fun with the fishing and the ice cream truck stopping by. Unfortunately, my camera lens had died and it was the next day that I replaced the lens so I don't have many good pictures from my tiny pocket size Nikon. You sure get spoiled with these big cameras...

The girls have wanted to go paint at "The Painting Corral" for many months now, but I was hesitant to bring Dylan. All of the painting pieces are just at his level and I pictured a possible disaster. He is generally a very calm guy, though, so I decided to give it a try and he did great! He sat for close to two hours with his sisters and cousins and worked on his dragon. I was very impressed...

First Day of School... sniff, sniff...

Yes, that first day always makes me sad as I watch my girls head off to class. This year, Mason is starting 4th grade and Hannah is "starting the grades", as she calls it, in 1st grade.

An Important Picture!

I HAD to post this picture! Why? Because this is what we have been looking at for about a month now whenever we are home. Our guy decided a month ago that he was ready to use the potty. It was a hot day and I took off his diaper so he could cool down. A little while later, he asked to use the potty and had success! He had never used the potty before that and he has not had an accident since. We're talking 100%! There is a catch, though. He has to be a nudie guy from the waist down. With underwear, it is hit or miss. So, now you see why I had to post this picture and give you all a look at the very cute view we see every day!
