The Buffalo Relatives!
We spent a couple of days in Buffalo visiting Andrew's family, Grandma Alice's brothers and sisters, lots of cousins. It is amazing how many there are! The girls (and the guy) had lots of fun meeting their relatives. They also got their first chance to catch a whole jar of fireflies!

Happy Birthday, Dylan!!!
Happy first birthday to the guy who lights up our lives and puts a smile in our hearts every day!
Vacation!!!
We are on vacation back east and having such a fun time. We spent a couple of days in Pittsburgh with good friends and then toured D.C. for two more days. Our friends came along with us to D.C. Anna has been Mason's true best friend since preschool even though they now live far apart. We toured all of the monuments and memorials, rode a paddle boat, rode the carousel on the mall and visited our old homes in Virginia. (We even happened to be right next to the president's limo...)

Dylan's Big One Year Birthday Party!!
Tonight, we celebrated the birth of our wonderful baby boy one week before the actual day! (We will be gone on the real day...) We had a bug party, complete with a bug hunt, "pin the spot on the ladybug", a butterfly pinata, making bugs in mud with pudding, oreos and gummy worms, and of course, bug cupcakes and a caterpillar cake. Dylan enjoyed the bug hunt for a little while and was very good at pinning a spot on the ladybug. (I think he really liked getting to lick the oreo before he stuck it on.) He fell fast asleep shortly after the games and we had to wake him for the cake and present opening. His first bite of a cupcake was tentative and he did not want to hold it himself. The best event of the night, though, was when he got into his birthday suit and danced for a half hour to the music on one of his new toys. What fun! (Thanks for joining us, Kersti!)
