Last Soccer Game!

Another goal this game and it was his best goal of all!  It has been so much more fun than I thought to be a soccer mom this year!  The whole experience of introducing Dylan to sports has been wonderful and he took to it so well.  I guess it is all about trying new things when the time is right.  Two years ago, he would have nothing to do with soccer but now, he really likes it.  We are thinking of joining a club team next year so he can play with another school friend on his team.  It would mean one more practice a week but I think that would be fine.

Seriously, what's with the tongue?

More Soccer!

I hope you aren't getting sick of soccer pictures!  Don't worry--
only one more game this season.  The boy was on fire this game!  He scored a goal, almost scored another, had an awesome assist, played his hardest and ran his fastest!  I have really enjoyed watching him this season!

Soccer!

Hannah and Julia got to help referee the game.  That spectacle was almost as entertaining to watch as the game itself!

Tug O' War!

A favorite game for both of them!  Raven really has turned out to be a great puppy and none of the kids are scared to go out in the yard with her!!!  Note the silent observer in the last picture.  He does not get involved but just watches from the sidelines until he decides that the whole thing is beneath his dignity and retreats to his deck for a nap.

Little Leprechauns!

I know the day is long gone, but who can resist these hats when they are on sale for 49 cents?  Now if I can just remember that I have them next St. Patrick's Day...

Good For A Chuckle!

Behold-- the contents of a certain girl's backpack on clean-out day.  Don't be fooled--nobody demanded that it be clean out day.  The backpack had simply become too heavy to carry.  This is a girl who has never once in her life made less than a 4.0 GPA, who is extremely self motivated and driven, works hard, has high expectations of herself and is a generally great kid.  Let's just be thankful that she does not have a class in organization as she might fail that one...

I have to admit it was a funny day!  Every so often in the organization process, she would emerge from her room overjoyed to have found a long lost notebook or paper.  She even found a 5 point extra credit ticket from last year's math teacher.

Easter Evening!

We had a lovely Easter dinner and Mason organized games for all of the kids!  I don't know whether I liked the "walk like a duck race" or "push the egg up the hill with your nose race" better.  Both were pretty funny to watch!
